The Cinnamon Recipe Book by Valeria Ray6/24/2023 This cookbook brings you a selection of 35 recipes for beloved Bundts, along with recommendations for beverage pairings and how to serve them. They came in a variety of sizes as well, such as full size, half size, and mini Bundts the size of a cupcake. Today the pan is widely available in many shapes (such as classic, swirly, rose, diamond, castle, and skull) and made of many different materials (such as aluminum, cast iron, ceramic, and so on). The Bundt cake rose to popularity in the mid-20th century when the Dalquist brothers founded the Nordic Ware Company and patented the cast aluminum pan that they named the Bundt. They are traditionally baked in a cast iron mold, making them prohibitively expensive to common people throughout most of their history. The Grimm brothers also wrote about them. These cakes were loved by the infamous French queen Marie Antoinette. Derived from the traditional German gugelhupf or kugelhupf cake, the oldest recipe for the Bundt dates back to 1581. Very few desserts can boast a history like the Bundt cake.
